Three BestPic App Store screens: AI picks your best photo, upload photos and get a winner, and in-depth analysis.

In short

AI-powered photo analysis that reduces choice paralysis and helps people pick their strongest photos for dating, social, and professional profiles. It evolved from Piqly, an earlier community-voting app.

Problem

Choosing the right photo got harder, not easier.

People take more photos than ever, but choosing the right one has become surprisingly difficult. Whether it’s for a dating profile, LinkedIn, or Instagram, people often spend more time deciding than creating.

“People don’t want photo analysis. They want confidence.”

Evolution

From Piqly to BestPic.

The first version, Piqly, asked other people to vote on your photos. It worked, but it was slow — feedback took hours, and it depended on an active crowd.

BestPic kept the goal and removed the wait. AI evaluates and ranks photos in seconds, then returns one confident recommendation with a simple reason — so the result reads as an explanation, not a verdict.

Principles

  1. 01

    Speed.

Results in seconds. The whole value is removing the wait.

  2. 02

    Clarity.

One recommendation beats ten scores. Decide for the user.

  3. 03

    Trust.

Show why a photo was chosen, so the recommendation feels believable rather than arbitrary.

Reflection

Less uncertainty beats more information.

The best AI products don’t just analyze — they reduce friction around a decision. The design job here was to hide the model and surface the confidence.
